Keypad

Please use telecom cable for wiring and it’s recommended to silicone between the back plate and the post to stop water and insects entering the rear of the keypad.
4 cables from the keypad to the gate opener:

DACE Ultima gate opener

  • Keypad COM: direct to gate opener control board terminal COM-GND
  • Keypad NO: direct to gate opener control board terminal TRIG
  • Keypad 12VAC: direct to gate opener control board terminal BAT+
  • Keypad 12VAC: direct to gate opener control board terminal BAT-

Please contact the office if you require help with resetting pin codes or deleting.

Pairing Wireless keypad (new version)

Note: this pairing will only work with the new version of our wireless keypad.  The old version would require a separate receiver

Tuning & Wiring Long Range Remotes & Receiver (old version)

DACE gate opener

  • Receiver COM: direct to gate opener board terminal COM-GND
  • Receiver NO: direct to gate opener board terminal TRIG
  • Receiver +12v: direct to gate opener board BAT+
  • Receiver – GND: direct to gate opener board BAT-

TO PROGRAM REMOTES TO THE RECEIVE

  • Step 1: press and hold remote button that is to trigger the opener. It is important that this button is continuously held from step 1 through to step 3.
  • Step 2: place the jumper over the two LEARN pins on the PC Board for 2 seconds.
  • Step 3: remove the jumper from the two pins.
  • Step 4: release the button on the remote.
    That particular button on the remote is now programmed to the receiver.

TO ERASE ALL REMOTES

  • Step1: Place the jumper across the two ERASE pins
  • Step2: The LED will flash 4 times to warn you that the remotes will be erased after which the LED will stay solid red
  • Step 3: When the LED remains on solid, all the remotes have been erased

DACE Ultima gate opener

  • Receiver COM: direct to gate opener board terminal COM-GND
  • Receiver NO: direct to gate opener board terminal TRIG
  • Receiver 12/24V: direct to gate opener board BAT+
  • Receiver GND: direct to gate opener board BAT-

Programming a remote

  1. With the power connected to the receiver, place a link over the RELAY pins.
  2. Press and hold the remote button that is to be programmed to the receiver.
  3. While pressing the button, place the second link over the REMOTE pins for two seconds (only) and then remove the link.
  4. Release the remote button and remove the link from the RELAY pins.

Erasing a single remote button from receiver

You will use the button that holds the position in the receiver immediately before the one that is to be erased!!

  1. With the power connected to the receiver, press and hold the button on the remote that was programmed to the receiver before the button that is to be erased.
  2. Place a link over the ERASE pins. The LED will flash twice and then remain solid.
  3. Release the remote button
  4. Remote the link.

The remote button is now erased from the receiver.

Erasing all remotes

  1. With the power connected to the receiver, place a link over the ERASE pins.
  2. The LED will flash ten times and then remain on solid.
  3. Remove the link.

The remote buttons have now been erased from the receiver.

Wired Eyebeams

The controller automatically detects when beams are connected to the system.
Once detected, the beams cannot be disabled unless the Reset Beams function is activated.

Warning Light

SW1 Pins - Jumper on 2 pins light flashes - Jumper on 1 pin light remains on

Note: The antenna is not used with any of BMGs products

3G GSM Module

Installation and Settings

  1. Ensure you have a registered sim card standard size.  It must be activated.
  2. Ensure your mobile number is not set to private or caller ID OFF as the unit won’t recognise the caller.
  3. Using your smart phone, scan the QR code located on the box that the gsm module was supplied in.  You may need to download a QR code scanner from the app store.
  4. Download the Gate Opener app.
  5. Insert activated sim card into the GSM module by removing screw holding down the black cap on the bottom of the gsm module.
  6. Secure antenna to GSM module.
  7. Power up GSM unit & connect trigger cables to the gate opener as per wiring shown
  8. Left red LED should start to flash, wait for the LED to flash slowly.
  9. Open Gate Opener app
  10. Click “Add Device”
  11. Create device name - e.g. Front Gate
  12. Enter in mobile number of sim card
  13. Enter 4 digit code 1234 and press ‘save’
  14. Text message screen will open with your 4 digit code & mobile number of sim card e.g. 1234 TEL 0400 000 000#  Now send this message to the GSM module to save your 4 digit code
  15. Open app, swipe from right to left to see second page.
  16. Click ‘Authorized Numbers’
  17. Tel SN - Store number to match agaits mobile number - Tel No. enter phont number e.g. Tel SN - 001, Tel No - 0400 000 000
  18. Click ‘Yes’ for alwasy can dial to control, click ‘Done’
  19. Click Green tick - Text message will appear e.g. 1234A001#0400000000 - send message - Repeat step 18 to add more numbers.  Once finished press ‘Back’
  20. To turn text message replies off to save phone credit - go to Relay ON/OFF SMS Alert.  Press Green Tick next to ‘Not Send SMS’ for Relay Close (on) and a text message will appear 1234GON## then send messag.  Repeat for Relay Open (off) message will appear 1234GOFF## and then send text message.  Now you you will not receive any text messages.  You can set just one if you prefer to receiver a text message for either On or Closed.
  21. Change password - modify password.  Enter 4 digit cole - press green tick.  Text message appears 1234P (new code)
  22. Call GSM Module to test unit.

Reset Instructions

Power the unit down then press and hold the reset button (located next to SIM card). Apply battery power while still holding reset button down, wait for red light to come on the GSM unit, after the light comes on, release reset button, wait 30 seconds, then power the GSM module down for 30 seconds and then power back up. The GSM is now reset.

Reset Instructions

Power the unit up then press and hold the reset button (located next to SIM card). The relay light will start flashing, then release the reset button and power the unit down then power the unit back up. Password has now been reset.
