Important steps before setting up:

  1. Insert Sim Card that has talk, text and data (Telstra, Optus or Aldi). The sim card must have data to allow the app to talk to the GSM unit.
  2. Connect antenna, now power up the GSM unit.
  3. Observe the RED GSM LED starts flashing quickly for about 60 seconds before flashing slowly for maybe 30 seconds and then the LED should go solid.
  4. Default setting it Telstra/Optus Sim. If you have an Aldi Sim card press the RESET button twice (2 beeps) now your GSM is set to Aldi.
  5. Now the GSM is on and connected to the 4G network via the data on the sim card.
  6. Now proceed with adding the device to your app.

What if I can't download the App?

If you are unable to download the "Xhouse IOT" App please refer to your user manual supplied with your GSM Device and follow the instructions on 'Without App Operation'.

1. Go to the main screen and select 'Features'

Tips on troubleshooting your GSM device

Your app says 'Offline'
  • Check that your app is the latest version - if not you will need to update your app
  • Check that the firmware within your app is up to date
  • Check the red light on your GSM device
  • If the red light on your GSM is flashing then the GSM cannot see the data on your SIM card
  • If the red light is solid then you are online
  • Check that your SIM card is active with credit
Why does the app show my gate open when my gate is closed
  • The door sensor from the GSM must be wired into your gate system for this part of the App to show the gate in its true open and closed state
  • BMGi's motor with this feature available is the TMT 400lls and the DACE Ultima Kits
  • If you have any other type of gate automation you will need to use a sensor or reed switch which BMG does not supply
